What the basic channel view is for
The YouTube account card gives the user a compact operational view of the connected channel. It is intended to confirm the account identity and show basic totals that help the user understand which channel is connected before publishing or managing content.
Subscriber count
The subscriber total is the current basic count returned for the connected channel when available through the authorized YouTube access. It is a channel-level total, not a historical growth chart. A change between refreshes can indicate that the public channel total has changed, but the basic view does not calculate subscriber gain or loss over a selected period.
Total channel views
The total-views figure is a lifetime-style channel statistic returned with the channel information available to the application. It should not be read as “views in the last 28 days” unless the interface explicitly provides a separate period metric. Wonder Publisher AI’s basic approved-scope view intentionally keeps these concepts separate.
Video count
The video or post count helps confirm the size of the connected channel at a basic level. The application may also show available video records in publishing or management workflows, but the channel total is not the same thing as a detailed performance report for each video.
Refresh statistics
Use the Refresh Statistics action when you need to request the latest available basic channel totals. Wait for the refresh to complete before comparing values. Repeatedly pressing refresh does not create more accurate data and can create unnecessary provider requests.
How the data is used
The basic statistics are displayed to the authenticated user to help identify and monitor their connected YouTube channel inside the publishing workspace. They are not presented as independent market research, and they should not be treated as a replacement for YouTube Studio when the user needs detailed YouTube analytics.
Connection troubleshooting
- If the wrong channel appears, disconnect or reconnect using the intended Google account and channel.
- If basic totals are temporarily unavailable, check the connection state and try a single refresh after the account is confirmed connected.
- If authorization has been revoked from the Google account, reconnect before attempting to refresh or publish.
- Use the provider’s own account controls to revoke access when you no longer want Wonder Publisher AI connected.
